Not the best option for exercising,
These mats fit together easily and make a nice large surface. The price is definitely better than anything I saw in my local stores. However, these mats don’t work so well as an exercise surface. I am doing P90X and was looking for a mat that would give me nice support and stable base, but this mat travels across my floor constantly, so I have to stop to move it back into place. In a 60 minute workout, I need to stop 5-10 times to re-adjust the mat. It also is a bit slippery for doing push ups. My feet are sliding quite a bit.
This mat would work well for a baby’s room or living area with a hard floor looking to protect a young one, but not so much as an exercise mat.

|great value,
I’ve owned the mats for a few months now. I do my exercises on them and they are great. I have wooden floors so these mats soften the impact when doing exercises and also it protects my rug and wooden floors from my constant trampling. Some people might think a rug would do just fine for exercises but rugs slide when you’re jumping and running on them. Also the mats are easily dismantled; I hide them under the sofa after I’m done with exercises. It’s much harder to find a rug that you can easily hide away. Lastly, this was the best $/square feet I could find online. So in summary, good value! at least for what I’m using it for.

|Shipping is outrageous, otherwise the mats are fine,
I bought these mats to put in the basement so the wife could do Yoga in peace. After laying them down, we like the look and decided to extend the area for a weight bench and a heavy bag. After realizing shipping is about ten bucks per pound (12 tiles do not weigh 10 pounds despite what the vendor says) and knowing that I need another 30+ tiles, there is no way I can justify paying so much for shipping. Shipping for 30 tiles is exactly what I paid for shipping the 100lb heavy bag!
No, this time I’m going with a local competitor. The price is the same (when you include shipping) and I’d rather support local business.
